Extend Print

"Extend" is about what it means to have a curvy body. Who is looking? Who is gazing?

She is reaching, extending her arms and lengthening her body, yet there’s still so much weight at the bottom of this piece. Perhaps there is a balance there.

We don’t see her front, we only see her from the…back? Side? The angle is so intimate, and yet we get no distinguishing details. It draws you in— who is this person?

This piece is one in my new kintsugi- style technique. There is always this larger, overarching meaning within each and every one of these pieces— No matter who we are, where we are, or what we’re doing, we’re always CHANGING, TRANSFORMING, HEALING.
